Welcome to Quinta da Paixão. By accessing our website or booking a stay with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the rate selected at the time of booking:

  • Standard Rate: Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge.
  • Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will be charged the total price of the reservation.
  • No-Show: In case of a no-show, the full amount of the booking will be charged.

2. Payment Policy

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern the payment policies applicable to all reservations made with our Bed and Breakfast (“B&B”).

2. Rates and Currency

All room rates are quoted in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

3. Reservation and Deposit

To secure a reservation, guests must pay a deposit specified at the time of booking.

4. Payment Methods

We accept Bank Transfer and Cash (within Portuguese legal limits). Full payment may be required upon arrival or departure.

5. Prepayment

Certain reservations may be non-refundable; cancellation results in loss of the prepaid amount.

6. Rates

Flexible rates allow free cancellation up to a specified period; Non-refundable rates issue no refunds.

7. No-Show

Failure to arrive without notice allows the B&B to charge the full amount.

8. Early Departure

Guests may be charged for the full duration of the original reservation.

9. Additional Charges

Guests are responsible for extra services, damages, or late fees.

10. Tourist Tax

Where applicable, a local tax (Taxa Municipal Turística) must be paid on-site.

11. Invoices

Issued in accordance with Portuguese law upon request.

12. Amendments

The B&B reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.

3. Age Policy

Guests must be at least 18 years old or more to make a reservation.

There is no age restriction for guests to stay in Quinta da Paixão.

4. Group Reservations

For the purposes of this policy, a group reservation is defined as the booking of 2 or more rooms, or 6 or more guests traveling together under one reservation or multiple related reservations.

1. Booking Requirements

Group reservations must be requested in advance and are subject to availability. A designated group representative must be identified at the time of booking and will serve as the primary contact.

2. Deposit & Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total reservation cost is required to confirm a group booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full 3 days prior to arrival. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of the reservation.

3. Conduct & Responsibility

The group representative is responsible for ensuring all guests comply with house rules. Any damage, excessive noise, or disturbance caused by group members may result in additional charges or termination of the stay without refund.

4. Exclusive Use (if applicable)

Bookings requesting exclusive use of the property may be subject to special rates, terms, and additional security deposits.

5. Check-in and Check-out Times

At Quinta da Paixão we don't have a 24 hour reception.

  • Check-in: From 15:00 (3 pm) until 22:00 (10 pm)
  • Check-out: Until 11:00 (11 am)

Late check-out may be available upon request and may incur an additional fee.

What to do when arriving on a different period of the day?

When it is not possible for a guest to check-in during the defined period, the guest must inform us of that occurrence, with a minimum of 24 hours in advance. The guest can call us to our advertised phone number or send us an e-mail to reservations@quintadapaixao.pt, stating the arrival expected time. Then, the guest must wait for a reply, confirming the reception of the request and explaining the new check-in procedures, that will be clear, easy and fast to operate.

6. Items, Baggage, Storage and Lost & Found

During the stay, guests are, at all times and without exception, responsible for all their belongings, items, luggage and baggage, vehicle, shoppings, and any other type of material owned, managed or brought by them.

Any and all entry into the house occupied by our guests during their stay by our employees, contracted or sub-contracted personnel, service providers or external entities - public or private - can and should be accompanied by the guest, who therefore maintains all and any responsibility, regarding damages, thefts, and / or disappearances.

We can provide storage for the guests baggage/luggage, however, without assuming any responsibility for it, regarding its physical integrity or the occurrence of a theft or disposition.

Any item found in the guest room after the check-out and prior to a new check-in, mainly during the housecleaning, will be catalogued and store in our central storage room for the period described in the Portuguese law. However, we do not take any responsibility for the physical maintenance and integrity of the items and/or it's functions.

7. Swimming-Pool Area Policy

In accordance with the Portuguese law, our swimming-pool has the size and depth needed for it NOT to have any kind of vigilance, bodyguard or supervision.

By accessing and using the hotel swimming pool facilities, guests agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These rules are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.

1. Eligibility and Access

  • The swimming pool is for the exclusive use of registered guests and authorized visitors.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

2. Operating Hours

  • The pool is open from 8 am and 11 pm
  • Quinta da Paixão reserves the right to modify operating hours or temporarily close the pool for maintenance and safety s without prior notice.

3. Health and Safety

  • Guests must shower before entering the pool.
  • Individuals with open wounds, infectious diseases, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to use the pool.
  • Running, diving (unless explicitly permitted), rough play, or any unsafe behavior is strictly prohibited.
  • Guests use the pool at their own risk.

4. Proper Attire

  • Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times. Street clothes, underwear, or inappropriate attire are not permitted in the pool.
  • Swim diapers are required for infants and toddlers.

5. Personal Belongings

  • Quinta da Paixão is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

6. Food and Beverage

  • Food and beverages are only permitted in designated areas.
  • Glass containers are strictly prohibited in the pool area.

7. Conduct and Respect

  • Guests must behave in a respectful and considerate manner toward others.
  • Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, or harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Quinta da Paixão reserves the right to remove any guest who fails to comply with these rules.

8. Pool Equipment and Facilities

  • Pool furniture and equipment must be used appropriately and not removed from the pool area.
  • Towels provided by the Quinta da Paixão are for poolside use only

9. Swimming Pool Accessories

  • Swimming pool accessories like inflatable beds, balls, volley ball etc are not allowed in the pool.
  • Before taking anything into the pool ask for permission first.

10. Liability

  • Use of the swimming pool is at the guest's own risk.
  • Quinta da Paixão shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from misuse of the pool or failure to follow these terms.

10. Amendments

  • The hotel reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

By using the swimming pool facilities, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

All guests are uniquely and totally responsible for their children, its wellbeing and its behavior. At no time or period can the adult guests leave their children alone in the swimming-pool area. It's forbidden to take any type of glass material, item and/or object to the swimming-pool area, nor any food or drink.

All guest must not bring any swimming pool accessories into the pool at any time. This includes anything like inflatable beds, toys, balls, volleyball etc.

8. Toiletries, Linen, Kitchenware, Appliances, Tableware, Furniture

All items available in the rooms and all property of Quinta do Paixão must maintain its physical integrity, function, style and appearance.

Our guests can use them (some need pre-approval by our staff), but will not, in any case or circumstance, own any of the above items.

Any item stolen, misplaced, broken or damaged in any way, will be charged to the guest.

9. Property Rules & Conduct

Guests are expected to treat the house, vineyards, and gardens with care.

  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all rooms and indoor common areas. Cigarette trash must be placed in designated astrays and not thrown on the ground.
  • Noise: We ask guests to respect the "Silent Hours" between 22:00 (10:00 PM) and 08:00 AM.
  • Pets: While we love animals, we are currently unable to accommodate pets to ensure the comfort of all guests.

10. Force Majeure

The Quinta shall not be held liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or utility failures.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your stay at the Quinta shall be resolved in the courts of the district of Braga, Portugal.
